Hooves flying across the ground, you dash to the edge of the forest. Once you're sure you're out of range of Jim and his seemingly insane uncle, you pause to catch you're breath and lean up against a strudy tree to rest. But, out of the corner of you're eye, you spot the Ghost again! A small shreik escapes you as you prepare to make yet another mad dash for safety.
"Wait!" the Ghost calls out,"I promise, I won't hurt you!"
You stop. Something in their voice sounds sincere.
"Just give me a bit of time to prove myself!"
You decide to give them the benefit of the doubt, you're starting to see beyond their intimidating appearance and see that they just might have a very sweet personality. You and Ash (you've decided to drop calling them the Ghost -- it seems rude) start walking together along the edge of the forest. All of a sudden, you feel yourself start to sink.
"What's happening?!" You shout.
"I think it's quicksand!" Says Ash, their eyes panicky. The two of you are quickly sinking into the sand.
You look around you, but see no method of escape. Resigning yourself to Ash's and your very own fate, your head sinks into the quicksand. In your last moments you spot the gourd sitting abandoned on the hard ground...
